Adding another landmark milestone in NSBM’s 10th anniversary journey, NSBM Green University is proud to announce the official partnership establishment with Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU), Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

The ceremonial signing of the partnership was held today (7 September 2026), at our university premises, with the agreement being signed by Prof. E. A. Weerasinghe, Vice Chancellor of NSBM Green University, and Dr. Cory Searcy, Assistant Vice-President – International and Professor of Industrial Engineering at Toronto Metropolitan University.

The signing ceremony was followed by a discussion between Dr. Searcy, the Vice Chancellor and the NSBM senior management team, focusing on opportunities for further academic collaboration and engagement between the two institutions. The visit also included a tour of the NSBM campus.

This landmark partnership opens an exclusive international academic pathway for NSBM students, enabling them to progress directly to Year 3 of Toronto Metropolitan University’s Business Technology Management program in Canada. It gives students the opportunity to seamlessly build upon the academic foundation gained at NSBM and advance their higher education journey at one of Canada’s leading universities, gaining valuable international exposure and a globally relevant educational experience.

Beyond creating a pathway for degree progression, the partnership marks a significant step forward in NSBM’s internationalisation journey. This collaboration expands NSBM’s constant commitment towards globalization while strengthening opportunities for student mobility, academic exchange, knowledge sharing and international exposure.
