The Department of Management, NSBM Green University, successfully conducted AI Odyssey 2026 – Commanding the Future of Work, a flagship workshop organised by the Public Relations Circle of the Department of Management, on 16 September 2026 at the NSBM Auditorium.

The programme was conducted for third-year students of the 24.2 and 25.1 batches of the Faculty of Business, representing all degree programmes, with the aim of providing students with insights into the evolving role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the world of work and its practical applications in business.

The workshop featured two insightful sessions that explored real-world applications of AI while complementing students’ theoretical knowledge.

The first session, “Beyond Human Creativity – How AI is Redefining Brands, Ideas and Impact,” was conducted by Mr. Dilshan Palliyaguruge, Brand Manager at Darley Butler & Co. Ltd. The session explored how AI is transforming areas such as creativity, branding, advertising, content creation, research, and brainstorming, highlighting the growing intersection between AI and modern business practices.

The second session, “AI Has Invaded Our World,” was conducted by Dr. Aparrajitha Ariyadasa, Committee Member of the AI Olympiad and Chairperson of the International Association of Privacy Professionals. The session examined the expanding influence of AI across key areas including education, employment, technology, privacy, trust, and wellbeing.

Through these sessions, AI Odyssey 2026 provided students with an opportunity to explore the practical implications of AI beyond the classroom and gain a broader understanding of how emerging technologies are shaping the future of business and work.
