The Department of Accounting & Finance, in collaboration with the Unit Trust Association of Sri Lanka, successfully conducted an informative session on Personal Financial Planning, Investment, and Savings on 17th November 2025 at the Green Boardroom.

 

The session offered practical guidance on managing personal finances, exploring new investment opportunities, adopting safe wealth-building strategies, and applying smart saving techniques. Academic staff, non-academic staff, and students participated actively, creating an engaging and impactful learning environment.

 

The session featured two esteemed resource persons; Mr. Dilan Jayakody – Senior Business Development Manager, JB Financial (Pvt) Ltd and Mr. Sandeep Fernando – Assistant Vice President – Business Development, First Capital Holdings PLC. Their insights and experience provided valuable clarity on making informed and confident financial decisions.
