A delegation from NSBM Green University, led by our Vice-Chancellor Prof. E. A. Weerasinghe, visited Zhejiang Shuren University in Hangzhou, China, on 18 September 2026, as part of our continued efforts to strengthen international academic collaboration. NSBM delegation also comprised Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor Prof. Chaminda Rathnayake and Senior Professor Pathmalal Manage. 

 

A key highlight of the visit was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the NSBM Vice-Chancellor and Prof. Li Lu, President of Zhejiang Shuren University, during the visit to the Gongchenqiao Campus of Zhejiang Shuren University. The signing was followed by a special discussion on potential areas of academic and institutional collaboration.

 

The NSBM delegation also visited the Interdisciplinary Research Academy at Zhejiang Shuren University, where they toured the facilities and participated in a further discussion and knowledge-exchange session. 

 

Zhejiang Shuren University has been ranked first among private universities nationwide in the ShanghaiRanking’s Chinese University Rankings consecutively in 2025 and 2026. The visit marked another significant step in our efforts to expand our international academic partnerships and create opportunities for collaboration with leading higher education institutions worldwide.
