NSBM Computing Students Develop Digital Platform for Recreation Center Management
Three talented undergraduates from our Faculty of Computing took the initiative to design, develop, and deploy the NSBM Recreation Center Management Platform; a digital solution created to streamline the management of the Recreation Center’s activities and resources.
The platform brings key operations of the NSBM Recreation Centre into one unified system. It enables the efficient management of campus sports, student and staff athletic records, achievements, and inventory, helping keep essential information organised and accessible.
The project was developed by three undergraduates from the Department of Software Engineering and Computer Security, Faculty of Computing — Radin Reanula, Chamindu Rathnayaka, and Poojana Fernando — under the guidance of Lecturer of the faculty, Ms. Nimesha Hewawasam.
The platform is now live and officially handed over to Ms. Shanika Sewwandi, Executive – Sports and Physical Education. The occasion was graced by Dr. Rasika Ranaweera, Head of the Department of Software Engineering and Computer Security.
