NSBM commends the achievements of Plymouth qualified computing graduates


The first two sessions of the second day of NSBM Convocation Week 2022 commended the academic achievements of students by conferring degrees to 360+ graduands the graduands who completed computing degrees in the disciplines of Computer Security, Computer Networks and Software Engineering in affiliation with University of Plymouth, UK.

The awarding of the degrees to these emerging IT experts was done by Vice-Chancellor of NSBM, Prof. E. A. Weerasinghe, with the esteemed patronage of the Chief Guest of the session: Senior Deputy Vice Chancellor of University of Plymouth, Prof Dafydd Moore. The presence of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of NSBM, Prof. Chaminda Rathnayake, Head of Academic and Quality Assurance, Prof Baratha Dodankotuwa, Deans, Academics, Parents and well-wishers further glamoured this special occasion.

Among all the Plymouth qualified computing graduates, Mr Heeshala Nadeeshan Weerasuriya was awarded the gold medal for being the Overall Best Performer. He also emerged as the Best performer in BSc (Hons) Software Engineering.

Moreover, Mr Thiman Thulith Dulsara Kumarage was awarded the prize for being the Best Performer in BSc (Hons) Computer Security whilst Mr Hiran Milinda Dalpatadu received the prize for the Best Performer in BSc (Hons) Computer Networks.
