NSBM Green Future Expo 2026, Sri Lanka’s first-ever Green Technology Exhibition organised by NSBM Green University, held from 18 to 20 September 2026, at the NSBM Green University premises in Homagama, alongside the university’s Open Day.

Organised under the patronage of the Vice Chancellor of NSBM Green University Prof. E. A. Weerasinghe, the three-day exhibition aims to provide the general public with an opportunity to discover, experience and engage with technologies and innovations contributing to a smarter, greener and more sustainable future. The exhibition brings together exhibition stalls representing more than 50 organisations, across six key zones, each focusing on an important area of future technology and sustainable development.

Zone 1 – Future Technology showcases emerging technologies, innovations and solutions shaping the future. Zone 2 – Smart Living explores smart technologies and connected solutions designed to enhance everyday life. Zone 3 – Telecommunications highlights advancements in communication technologies and connectivity. Zone 4 – Sustainability focuses on sustainable practices, environmental solutions and technologies supporting a greener future. Zone 5 – Renewable Energy features innovations and solutions related to renewable and smart energy, while Zone 6 – Future Mobility showcases the future of transportation, including electric and sustainable mobility solutions.

The NSBM Green Future Expo 2026 was officially inaugurated with an opening ceremony held on Friday, 18 September 2026, at the NSBM Auditorium. The ceremony featured an address by the Chief Guest, Mr. Waruna Sri Dhanapala, Secretary to the Ministry of Digital Economy, along with special remarks by the Deputy Vice Chancellor – Academic, Prof. Thilini De Silva, who highlighted NSBM Green University’s commitment and ongoing efforts towards a greener and more sustainable future.The ceremony also featured a speech by Mr. Roshan Watawala, General Manager – Sales, MTV/MBC.

Going beyond a conventional exhibition, NSBM Green Future Expo 2026 creates an interactive platform for visitors of all ages to explore the possibilities of tomorrow and gain first-hand exposure to the technologies and innovations shaping a sustainable future.

Particularly for after A/L students, the exhibition offers an opportunity to explore emerging technologies and the industries shaping future careers and the world of work. Held alongside the NSBM Open Day, NSBM Green Future Expo 2026 will also enable prospective students and their families to experience university life at NSBM and gain first-hand guidance on higher education pathways and future career opportunities.
