Reaffirming their shared commitment to academic excellence, international collaboration and expanding global opportunities for students, NSBM Green University and the University of Plymouth have renewed their longstanding partnership agreement, marking another significant milestone in their enduring relationship.

The agreement was renewed following the visit of Professor Richard Davies, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Plymouth, to NSBM Green University on 26 October 2026, as part of the University’s 10th Anniversary celebrations. The signing ceremony took place at the Vice-Chancellor’s residence, bringing together senior representatives of both institutions to reaffirm their commitment to strengthening academic ties and further advancing their collaborative journey.

The occasion was attended by Professor E. A. Weerasinghe, Vice-Chancellor of NSBM Green University; Professor Richard Davies, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Plymouth; Professor Chaminda Rathnayake, Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor of NSBM; Professor Thilini De Silva, Deputy Vice-Chancellor – Academic; Dr Julie Swain, Senior Partnership Manager, Plymouth Global, and Safeguarding Lead for Partnerships; and Ms Shehani Joseph, Country Coordinator for UK Partnerships at NSBM.

The renewal of this partnership reflects the enduring relationship between the two institutions and their shared vision of delivering internationally recognised educational opportunities. As NSBM Green University marks a decade of growth and achievement and looks towards its next chapter, the continued collaboration with the University of Plymouth reinforces its commitment to international engagement, academic development and creating greater opportunities for future generations of students.
