The Department of Accounting & Finance of NSBM Faculty of Business, successfully conducted the Financial Accounting Guest Lecture & Industry Engagement Session, followed by the Financial Accounting Poster Exhibition, in collaboration with Infinity Space Business School Pvt Ltd.

 

The event was graced by the presence of Ms. Anne Pathiranage, Dean of the Faculty of Business, Prof. Athula Manawaduge, Head of the Department of Accounting & Finance, together with faculty lecturers and students.

The guest lecture was conducted with the participation of industry resource persons Mr. Bhagya Fernando, Assistant Manager – Group Risk & Control at Brandix Apparel (Pvt) Ltd, and Ms. Subhashi Amarasinghe, Assistant Manager at LSEG Business Services Colombo (Private) Limited.

 

The session provided Year 1, Semester 1 students with valuable industry exposure, helping them connect classroom-based accounting knowledge with real business practices. Following the guest lecture, students showcased their assignment-based group projects at the Financial Accounting Poster Exhibition, demonstrating the practical application of the accounting cycle to real and small-scale business contexts.
