New Chapter Begins at NSBM Rotaract Club

A new chapter of youth leadership, service, and community impact unfolded at NSBM Green University as the Rotaract Club of NSBM proudly celebrated its 14th Installation Ceremony on 9 August 2026 at the NSBM Auditorium. The ceremony marked the formal installation of the Club’s new Executive Committee for the 2026–27 term, ushering in a new era of leadership dedicated to fostering service, fellowship, professional development, and positive change.
The Rotaract Club of NSBM, one of the University’s longstanding student organisations, has continued to provide a platform for students to develop their leadership capabilities while contributing meaningfully to society. Established in 2013, the Club has remained committed to nurturing young leaders through service and creating opportunities for students to engage with communities and make a lasting impact.
The newly appointed leadership team will be headed by Rtr. Senodh Inimankada, who assumes office as President, with Rtr. Senaya Dayaratne serving as Secretary for the 2026–27 term. Both leaders bring a strong commitment to service, teamwork, and purposeful leadership as they take on the responsibility of guiding the Club towards new milestones in the year ahead. The Club had previously introduced Senodh as President-Elect and Senaya as Secretary-Elect, highlighting their leadership capabilities and readiness to take on these responsibilities.
The installation ceremony was graced by distinguished representatives of the Rotaract and Rotary movement. The Chief Guest was Rtn. Harsha Rajan, President of the Rotary Club of Colombo West, while Ms. Romasha Guruge and Ms. Tharinsa Gamage, Lecturers in Charge, were present as Guests of Honour. The event also welcomed PHF Rtn. Rtr. PP Dr. Jude Shannon Lucian, District Rotaract Representative, and Rtn. PP Shehantha Dias, District Rotaract Chair, whose presence added significance to the occasion.
The ceremony served not only as a formal transition of leadership but also as a celebration of the values that continue to define Rotaract at NSBM — service, fellowship, leadership, and excellence. With a new team taking the helm, the Club is poised to further strengthen its contribution to the University community and society through impactful initiatives, collaborative projects, and opportunities for students to grow as socially responsible young leaders.
