Industry-University collaboration academic development programme of the Faculty of Computing

With the prime objective of leveraging industrial collaborations to advance the academic excellence of the university, NSBM Faculty of Computing successfully concluded an Industry-University collaboration academic development programme for its academic staff members. The programme was held on 25th May 2022 at the Green board room and carried out on several discussion points, including software testing industry expectations and testing research projects. Parallel to this programme, the Faculty initiated a software testing research approach to align Industry expectations, with the collaboration of Exactpro Systems (Pvt) Ltd – a leading independent provider of software testing services in Sri Lanka.
Mr. Jagath De Silva, CEO of Exactpro Sri Lanka along with Prof. Rosti Yavorskiy, Head of Research and Chief Scientist of Exactpro Sri Lanka, participated in this programme as the guest speakers and shared their valuable insights and expertise. The programme was organized by Ms. Pavithra Subashini, Senior Lecturer / Head of Computer Science and Software Engineering, Faculty of Computing, under the guidance of Prof. E A Weerasinghe, Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Chaminda Rathnayake, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Baratha Dodankotuwa, Head of Academic Development and Quality Assurance, and Dr. Rasika Ranaweera, Dean of Faculty of Computing of NSBM.
