The Inter-Batch Academic Decathlon 2026, an annual competition held to recognise the Best Batch in the Faculty of Business, was successfully held on 30 September 2026 at the NSBM Auditorium.

This year’s competition brought together three outstanding teams, representing different degree programmes and batches: 24.2 BM (Hons) in Business Analytics, 25.3 Plymouth Batch and 24.3 BSc (Hons) Accounting and Finance.

The competing teams went head-to-head across a series of challenging rounds designed to test their academic knowledge, critical thinking, communication, creativity, and teamwork. With each round bringing new challenges, the competition remained closely contested and engaging until the very end.

The event was further strengthened by the presence of a distinguished panel of judges: Ms. Anne Pathiranage – Dean, Faculty of Business, Ms. Aushadhari Kaushalya – Head, Department of Management / Mistress-in-Charge, Association of Business Management and Mr. Praveen Ranaweera – Lecturer.

Following an intense and spirited competition, the 24.2 BM (Hons) in Business Analytics batch emerged as the Best Batch in the Faculty of Business, while the 25.3 Plymouth Batch secured the position of First Runner-up.
