The 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Young Scientists’ Circle (YSC), Department of Life Sciences, and the Circle of Nursing and Psychology Students (CNAPS), Department of Health Sciences, of our Faculty of Science was successfully held on 12 August 2026 at the GBR.

The event brought together academic staff and student representatives to celebrate the achievements of the outgoing boards, recognise student contributions, and officially welcome the newly appointed committees for the 2026/27 term.

The AGM was graced by the presence of Dr. Nuwanthi Katuwavila, Dean, Faculty of Science; Dr. Madhavi Hewadikaram, Deputy Dean; Dr. Miruna Rabindrakumar; Prof. Rohini De Silva; and Prof. L. P. Jayatissa, together with the respective student representatives and members of YSC and CNAPS.

A key highlight of the AGM was the official announcement and badging of the newly appointed YSC and CNAPS boards for 2026/27. The AGM also provided an opportunity to recognise students who have contributed to IN VISION V through the publication of articles and Certificates of Appreciation were presented to the student contributors.

The Faculty of Science extends its best wishes to the newly appointed YSC and CNAPS boards for 2026/27 and looks forward to another year of meaningful student-led initiatives, academic engagement, and community building.
