CREST 2026 Implements Student-Led SDG-Based Projects

As part of its continued commitment to student-centred, impact-driven learning, the Faculty of Business at NSBM Green University successfully concluded CREST 2026, its flagship Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) action programme, celebrating the creativity, commitment, and real-world impact of student-led initiatives at the CREST 2026 Grand Showcase held on 25 August 2026.
CREST 2026 provides students with a platform to transform academic learning into meaningful action by developing and implementing projects aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Each participating team was assigned one SDG and tasked with completing two action-oriented projects, with each project addressing different targets within their respective goal.
Throughout the programme, students took ownership of every stage of their projects, from proposal development and community outreach to digital promotion, fundraising, partnership building, and on-ground implementation. Working collaboratively with external stakeholders, including NGOs, schools, local businesses, and community organisations, students were able to engage directly with real-world challenges and develop practical solutions with tangible community impact.
The programme offered students an opportunity to strengthen a wide range of skills, including leadership, teamwork, communication, project management, creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving, digital communication, and stakeholder engagement. More importantly, CREST encouraged students to move beyond understanding the SDGs as global targets and experience how they can contribute to achieving these goals through meaningful, locally driven action.
The CREST 2026 Awards were presented during the Grand Showcase to recognise outstanding achievements across project execution, innovation, partnerships, communication, teamwork, sustainability, and presentation.
