CREST 2026 Grand Showcase of NSBM Business Students
The CREST 2026 Grand Showcase brought an inspiring journey of student-led action, creativity, and social impact to a spectacular close at NSBM Green University, celebrating the remarkable efforts of the 26.1 NSBM/Southern Cross and 25.2 Plymouth student cohorts.
From the opening programme overview to the final applause, the Grand Showcase was a vibrant celebration of months of dedication, collaboration, and hard work. The event commenced with the traditional oil lamp lighting and welcome address, followed by a keynote speech that set the stage for a day dedicated to recognising student achievement and impact.
The programme featured two special award ceremonies: one recognising the outstanding teams behind the CREST 2026 Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) projects and another celebrating the talented performers who took part in the CREST Talent Show. Adding to the atmosphere were captivating music, dance, and drama performances by NSBM students, making the Grand Showcase a memorable celebration of both purpose and talent.
At the heart of CREST 2026 was SDG 1: No Poverty, the first of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. As part of the initiative, student teams designed and implemented action-oriented projects addressing different dimensions of poverty, with a focus on empowering vulnerable communities, addressing underlying challenges, and creating pathways towards more sustainable livelihoods.
Through CREST 2026, students went beyond learning about sustainability in the classroom and took meaningful action within their communities. The initiative provided them with opportunities to develop practical skills in project planning, teamwork, leadership, communication, community engagement, fundraising, partnership building, and problem-solving, while creating tangible social impact.
The Grand Showcase therefore served not merely as the conclusion of CREST 2026, but as a celebration of what students can achieve when knowledge, creativity, compassion, and action come together. It reflected NSBM Green University’s continued commitment to nurturing socially responsible, future-ready graduates who are equipped to contribute meaningfully to sustainable development and society.
