The Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Sri Lanka, Her Excellency R. Demet Şekercioğlu, paid an official visit to NSBM Green University on 14th November 2023. H.E., the Ambassador, was accompanied by Mr. Macit Koç, Director of Yunus Emre Institute – Turkish Cultural Centre attached to the Royal University of Phnom Penh-RUPP in Cambodia.
H.E., the Ambassador and the Director of Yunus Emre Institute were extended a warm reception by Prof. E.A. Weerasinghe, the Vice Chancellor of NSBM Green University.
The distinguished guests were treated to an immersive tour of the university, providing insights into existing facilities and the ongoing developments in NSBM Phase II. They also held a cordial discussion with NSBM staff and students, including Prof. Chaminda Rathnayake, Deputy Vice-chancellor, Head of Academic Development and Quality Assurance, Prof. Baratha Dodankotuwa, Deans of the five faculties of NSBM, heads of the departments and fellow NSBM academic and non-academic staff members.
The visit served as an occasion to showcase NSBM’s evolution, emphasising its visionary plans, strategic initiatives, and ambitious expansions for the future. In appreciation of NSBM’s dedication to empowering the youth, H.E., the Ambassador, left a special note in the NSBM Guest Book.
