Thahira Reza is a competent graduate from NSBM Green University with a First Class Honours degree in Interior Design and holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing from the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM). Prior to entering academia, she gained industry experience as an Interior Designer, contributing to a diverse range of residential and commercial design-and-build projects, with involvement in concept development, space planning, project coordination and the creation of functional and aesthetically refined interior spaces.

She currently serves as an academic in Interior Design at NSBM Green University, integrating professional practice with teaching to support and inspire students. In her academic role, she actively guides students in material applications, design tutoring and concept development, while also supporting studio projects and practical design explorations. Her research interests focus on the intersection of Interior Design and Marketing, exploring how interior environments influence user experience, engagement and overall spatial outcomes. Her career reflects a strong commitment to design education, lifelong learning and responsible design practice, with a focus on developing and guiding young designers.
