Ms. Shehani Dilhara is a graduate of University of Kelaniya, having completed her Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Degree in Teaching English as a Second Language with Second Class (upper) division. She is currently reading for her Master of Arts in Linguistics at the University of Kelaniya.

She has vast experience in academics. Prior to joining NSBM Green University, she served as a Temporary Lecturer for two years at the Department of English Language Teaching (DELT) at University of Kelaniya teaching. She has experience coordinating and conducting lectures for Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Degree in Teaching English as a Second Language degree modules, supervising the final year research and evaluating internship. She has also served as a visiting lecturer for the Science Faculty at University of Kelaniya, teaching for Bachelor of Science in Sport Science undergraduates and as an orientation lecturer for the Faculty of Commerce.

Moreover, she served as a lecturer for CONNECT external certificate course offered by DELT. Apart from academics, she has served as an abstract reviewer and proofreader for multiple research symposia. In addition, she conducted sessions for the teacher training programs conducted for educational zones in Jaffna and Nuwara Eliya as a part of a project initiated by DELT. Prior to that, Ms. Shehani has worked in the private sector as a visiting lecturer at Aquinas College of Higher Studies and Colombo School of Business Management affiliated with CINEC Maritime Campus. Additionally, she served as a Lecturer in English at Lanka Nippon BizTech Institute, conducting lectures, syllabus preparation and assessment for Communication Skills, Technical Writing and Personal Grooming modules for IT undergraduates.

Ms. Shehani is currently attached to the Department of English and Modern Languages, where she teaches English related modules under the Business Communication cohort and French.
