Ms. Hansika Thaksarani Deivendra is a Lecturer (Probationary) attached to the Department of Operations and Logistics, Faculty of Business, NSBM Green University. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Transport and Logistics Management from the Faculty of Engineering, University of Moratuwa, and is currently reading for her MSc in Transportation at the Department of Civil Engineering, University of Moratuwa.
Prior to joining NSBM Green University in February 2024, she gained industry experience in the fields of transportation, logistics, and engineering consultancy. She served as a Junior Consultant at Master Hellie’s Engineering Consultants (Pvt) Ltd and as an Executive in Transport Planning at Logicare (Pvt) Ltd. These professional experiences provided her with practical exposure to transport planning and logistics operations, complementing her academic background in transportation and logistics management.
Her academic and research interests span transport planning, transport modelling, logistics and supply chain management, aviation, GIS applications in transportation, sustainable transportation, and transport economics. Her research engagement reflects a particular interest in addressing contemporary transportation and logistics challenges through analytical and applied research approaches.
She was recognized with the Best Research Overall Award at Research for Transport and Logistics Industry (R4TLI) 2024, highlighting her contribution to research in the transportation and logistics field. She is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) and Women in Logistics and Transport (WiLAT), reflecting her continued professional engagement with the transport and logistics community.
