Ms. Dilki Kandangamuwa is a dedicated academic and professional in the field of psychology, currently serving as a Temporary Lecturer at NSBM Green University. She holds a BA (Hons.) in Psychology from the University of Peradeniya, where she graduated with the highest GPA of 3.898 and served as a Temporary Lecturer for Department of Psychology for two years, right after her graduation. She is currently reading for her MSc. in Clinical and Health Psychology at the University of West London. Throughout her academic journey, she has been recognized with several prestigious awards including the PUAAN Scholarship for Best Performance at the First Examination, Professor B.D.D. Pathirana Memorial Gold Medal for Excellence in Psychology, and the Peradeniya University Gold Medal for Scholastic and Extra-Mural Excellence. Her professional experience spans across multiple domains of psychology; she has worked as a student trainee at the Psychiatric Ward of the Teaching Hospital, Kandy, and at the Alcohol Rehabilitation Center, Mampitiya Divisional Hospital, Kandy. She has also contributed as a Mental Health Advisor for the ‘Yeheli’ project powered by Dialog and ‘Without Borders’, and has contributed to Shanthi Maargam, ‘Sounds Minds Academy’ and ADIC Sri Lanka, gaining exposure in psychosocial support and substance abuse rehabilitation. With prior lecturing experience at the University of Peradeniya, National Institute of Business Management (NIBM), and Human Resource Management Institute (HRMI), as well as experience as a School Counsellor at Musaeus College, Colombo and a volunteer at Sri Lanka Sumithrayo, Ms. Dilki Kandangamuwa demonstrates a strong passion for teaching, counselling, and community mental health. Her research interests focus on Clinical, Counselling, and Child Psychology, reflecting her commitment to advancing psychological knowledge and promoting mental well-being in society.
