Mr. Yadawa Weerakoon is currently serving as a Temporary Lecturer at NSBM Green University. He holds a First Class Honours Degree in Bachelor of Business Science, specializing in Business Analytics, from the University of Moratuwa. He is currently reading for the Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Data Science & Artificial Intelligence at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura.

Prior to transitioning into academia, he worked as a Marketing Data Scientist at Hype Invention, where he leveraged advanced analytics and machine learning techniques to optimize marketing strategies, analyze consumer behavior, and deliver data-driven insights to improve campaign effectiveness.

His areas of expertise include business analytics, data visualization, statistical modeling, machine learning, and programming. He is passionate about bridging theory with practical application, ensuring students gain both strong analytical foundations and hands-on technical skills. As a lecturer, he emphasizes critical thinking, problem-solving, and the responsible use of data to prepare students for success in today’s data-driven business environment.
