Profile

Mr. T. Hashan Madushanka is a Lecturer in the Department of Design Studies, Faculty of Engineering at NSBM Green University. He currently serves as the Programme Leader of the BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying degree programme offered by the University of Plymouth and as the Head of Disciplinary – Faculty of Engineering.

He holds a First-Class BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying from the University of Moratuwa and is currently Reading for a PhD at the University of Moratuwa in Building Information Modelling (BIM) and Building Energy Efficiency Optimization.

His academic and research interests focus on the digital and sustainable transformation of the built environment, particularly Building Information Modelling (BIM), building energy performance, BIM-enabled energy efficiency optimization, digital twins, construction digitalization, lean construction, sustainable construction, and emerging technologies within the Architecture, Engineering, Construction and Facilities Management sectors.

Prior to joining NSBM Green University, he gained professional experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry and served as a Temporary Lecturer at the University of Moratuwa.

At NSBM, he is actively involved in teaching, research supervision, curriculum development, programme leadership, academic administration, student development, and disciplinary management within the Faculty of Engineering.
