Profile
Mr. Chamil H. Gunarathna currently works as a Lecturer attached to the Faculty of Engineering, NSBM Green University. He graduated from the Faculty of Engineering, University of Moratuwa, with a B.Sc. Eng. (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering in 2022 and completed his M.Sc. in Industrial Automation at the University of Moratuwa. He is a registered Assistant Engineer with the Engineering Council, Sri Lanka (ECSL), and an Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka (IESL). After completing his degree, he worked as an Executive – Automation at MAS Holdings, where he gained multidisciplinary industrial experience in automation, robotics, manufacturing optimization, PLC-based systems, and industrial engineering projects. His teaching interests include Mechatronics Engineering, Robotics and Automation, Mechanics of Machines, Instrumentation and Control, Manufacturing Processes, Engineering Workshop, and Engineering Projects. His research interests include soft robotics, industrial automation, intelligent control, smart manufacturing, energy harvesting, and sustainable engineering systems.
