Two Memorandums of Understanding were signed between NSBM Green University and two hotel chains: Sheraton Kosgoda Beach Hotel Resort and Weligama Bay Marriot Resort and Spa, on 24th January 2022 at the university premises.
These mutually beneficial partnerships are aimed at disseminating knowledge and improving various skills of Hospitality Management undergraduates. Further, it is expected to optimize synergies between the university and the Industry Partners in relation to entry level talent Acquisition (Internship/Training) and corporate brand building,
The MOUs were signed by Prof. E.A. Weerasinghe, Vice-Chancellor of NSBM Green University, and Mr. Sanchitha Uduwavidana, Cluster Director of Human Resources, Sheraton and Marriot Hotels, Sri Lanka – in the presence of Prof. Chaminda Rathnayake, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of NSBM Green University, Ms. Thilini De Silva, Dean, Faculty of Business, Mr. Venura Colombage, Head, Department of Marketing and Tourism and representatives from academia.
