To educate and groom undergraduates, the Industrial Management Circle of the Department of Operations and Logistics, Faculty of Business, organized QUALITAT’23, a workshop on Total Quality Management, on the 24th of March 2023.
The workshop was organized on the basis that feeding the slightest insights on Total Quality Management (TQM) to undergraduates at an early stage can significantly improve and help in evolving the thinking patterns in a way that will ultimately produce individuals that can appreciate and value the importance of knowing organizational processes from point A to point Z.
Ms. Tharushi Jayasinghe -Assistant Manager R & D at Nestle Lanka PLC conducted the workshop. Further, students were encouraged to come forward with their questions while featuring more interactive activities to further arouse the curiosity of our students toward the importance of learning TQM.
QUALITAT’23 was organized under the guidance of Ms. Thilini De Silva – Dean Faculty of Business, and Ms. Rekha Kulasekara – Mistress in Charge, Industrial Management Circle. The workshop was concluded successfully, enabling the undergraduates to get a clear idea about the opportunities and how to tackle them by utilizing the principles behind TQM with their feedback.
