The Opening Ceremony of International Center for Innovation and Invention (ICII) was held today, with the aim to inspire, encourage and assist young inventors to transfer their innovative ideas into profitable business models.
The keynote speaker of the event was Prof. Rangika Halwathura, Commissioner of Sri Lanka Inventors Commission and Guest of Honor, Ms. Haily Senevirathne, Lecturer Wayamba University who is also an innovator. Vice-Chancellor, Prof. EA Weerasinghe Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Chaminda Rathnayake, Head of Academic Development and Quality Assurance, Prof. Baratha Dodankotuwa were also joined for the occasion to inspire and encourage NSBM undergraduates to become young innovators.
Ishan Emalsha from Sri Dhamma Vidyalaya, Galle was invited with his award-winning innovation which inspired the undergraduates to start to think fresh and innovative. ICII will be an inspiration for all the undergraduates to become innovators who can build sustainable innovations that can add value to the country.
