Mr. Christopher Lasitha De Silva is a Lecturer attached to the Department of Professional Advancement who joined the NSBM in year 2019. Prior to the appointment at NSBM, he earned nearly 17 years of work experience in many Government and Private organizations both in Sri Lanka and abroad. Namely Hilton Hotels and resorts, Jetwing Hotels and Resorts, Intercontinental Hotels Group, Ceylon Hotel School, Qatar Aviation Catering, Cinnamon Hotels and Resorts, University of Colombo (UOC), Human Resource Management Institute (HRMI) and Mount Lavinia Hotels Group.

Mr. De Silva gained his primary through secondary education at Trinity College, Kandy and graduated from the Ceylon Hotel School specialized in Food and Beverage Operations. He had also followed a Higher National Diploma in Human Recourse Management at National Institute of Business Management (NIBM), Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources Management at National School of Business Management (NSBM), Post Graduate Diploma in Tourism Economics and Hotel Management (DTEHM) at University of Colombo (UOC), Masters in Tourism Economics and Hotel Management (MTEHM) at University of Colombo (UOC), Master of Philosophy in Economics (MPhil) at University of Colombo (UOC) and currently reading for a Doctoral Degree in Economics (PhD) at University of Colombo (UOC). Currently he is the Head of the Professional Advancement Department at the University.
