As the youngest member of his PhD batch, he also was a part of the Nord IB research community attending conferences and workshops to complete doctoral modules for the Diploma in International Business at Aalto University School of Economics Finland, Leeds Business School, Uppsala University Sweden, Copenhagen Business School, University of Gothenburg, BI Norwegian Business School. He also has a MSc in International Business from the University of Manchester with a first class pass with honours. He also has his bachelors degree in Business & Management from the University of Birmingham United Kingdom. He has also had specific methodology training during his PhD tenure from the University College London (UCL). Dr Isuru is also currently an academic adjunct at the Responsible Business research beacon at the University of Auckland.
In terms of his experience and extra-curricular he has been a part of the Alliance Manchester Business School academic team working as a teaching assistant. He was the only teaching assistant in his batch handling masters students as a teaching assistant in the Business School. He has also played cricket representing the 1st XI team in his Alma mater S.Thomas’ College Mount Lavinia, University of Manchester Men’s Cricket and played professional cricket for the Stockport Trinity Club in the Cheshire League in the United Kingdom.He also has worked as a visiting lecturer for Edith Cowan University Colombo Campus. He also has worked as a Parliamentary Intern at the House of Commons London United Kingdom. He currently is a part time director at Lakarcade Pvt Ltd. He also has had experience working in leading companies in Sri Lanka such as John Keells Holdings and Nestle Lanka PLC.
