Mr. Mahima Herath is a Chartered Architect and an Associate Member of Sri Lanka Institute of Architects. He is a lecturer and Course Coordinator for Plymouth University Degree Programs in Department of Design Studies affiliated to Faculty of engineering. He was graduated from University of Moratuwa and during his university time he was selected as a recipient for a scholarship awarded by the Munster School of Architecture, Germany for the performance excellence. After graduating from university, he has worked as a project architect in many commercial and residential projects, with renowned architectural firms of the construction field. His research interests are based on ‘’Democratic Public Architecture’’, Architecture of segregation and experimental design approaches.

He is also a partner at Atma Lanka wax museum, a patent owner as the youngest Sri Lankan to obtain so for the invention of a Motorcycle tow wheel, Junior inventor of the year -2008 awarded by the Sri Lanka Institute of Engineers and most creative artist award winner bestowed by Alliance Françoise International Organization , France.
