Archt. Mahima Herath is an Architect completed with RIBA Part I and Part II. He is a temporary lecturer and Node leader for the PU design degree programmes in the Interior Design Division of Department of Design studies affiliated to Faculty of engineering. After graduating from University of Moratuwa, he has worked as a project architect in many commercial and residential projects, with renowned architectural firms of the construction field. His research interests are based on ‘’Democratic Public Architecture’’, Architecture of segregation and experimental design approaches.

He is also a partner at Atma Lanka wax museum, a patent owner as the youngest Sri Lankan to obtain so for the invention of a Motorcycle tow wheel, Junior inventor of the year -2008 awarded by the Sri Lanka Institute of Engineers and most creative artist award winner bestowed by Alliance Françoise International Organization , France.
