The community space for multimedia students of NSBM was officially declared open on the 23rd of February 2023. The Vice Chancellor of the NSBM, Prof. E.A. Weerasinghe and Head of Academic Development and Quality Assurance, Prof. Bharatha Dodankotuwa participated in this event as chief guests.
This special occasion also commemorated the second anniversary of the Department of Marketing and Tourism Management, which fell on the same day. Mr Venura Colobage, the Head of the Department, and many academics participated in this memorable occasion. Simultaneous with the opening ceremony of the community space, the Multimedia students were given the opportunity to exhibit their designs and other portfolios, showing their creative talents.
The multimedia degree programme at NSBM is the discipline through which the students shape their creative talent in a technological as well as philosophical manner. This space will give them a huge impact to develop their creativity according to the standards of the industry.
