The first-ever Angular conference in Sri Lanka with the participation of over 600 participants was successfully held at NSBM Green University together with the collaboration with IEEE Student Branch of NSBM on 14th September 2019. Ng-Sri Lanka is the cardinal event organized by the Angular community of Sri Lanka. “Ng” conferences have been conducted throughout the world for the past 2 years, with the original conference in Salt Lake City, Utah. The conference enables enthusiastic developers to gain knowledge and insights into web technologies, especially on Angular. The conference was transpired for 8+ long hours filled with
16 talks and parallel hands-on sessions, presenting innovative and progressive Angular and JavaScript topics by 10 internationally recognized speakers and 6 local industry experts with over 400+ delegates of undergraduates, industry experts and as well as enthusiastic developers attending the conference. The Angular conference went as 2 major hands-on sessions named as Sandwich Track 1 and Sandwich Track 2 along with a main event Stack event.
The keynote speaker of Ng-Sri Lanka 2019 was Minko Gechev from USA who was a member of the Angular Team USA. The conversation with him was truly energetic and a kick starts to the Angular conference in Sri Lanka. The Stack sessions were conducted by both local and international recognized speakers with 10 Angular related topics.
The Sandwich Track 1 was about “n things that Angular dev should know” by Pankaj Parker and building production-friendly angular apps that could be deployed as containers to multiple environments, presented by Muhammad Umair Khan.
The Sandwich Track 2 was about micro frontends by Samudra Kanankearachchi from Sri Lanka who is a Solutions Architect at 99X Technology and Siddharth Ajmera demonstrates how to improve the performance of deeply nested Reactive Forms.
Apart from these speakers, Jecelyn Yeen an expert in Google Development, a Google expert in Angular and the director of Women Who Code KL from Malaysia, Siddharth Ajmera, A passionate Angular Developer and a Google Developer Expert at Angular and Web Technologies from Australia, Nishu Goel, She is a passionate Software Developer at IBM, the content writer author of “Step-by-Step Angular Routing” book from India, Muhammad Umair Khan is an Architect at 10 Pearls from Pakistan, Anchal Bhandari, who is an IOT Solution Consultant at Parametric Technology Corporation from India, A Google Developer Expert at Angular, Pankaj Parker from India, Srashti Jain from India who is a Senior Developer at Hvantage Technologies, Nilesh Jayanandana who is a Software Architect at Platformer Cloud Pty LTD from Sri Lanka, Santos Yadav, who is an Associate at Deutsche Bank India, Sohan Dassanayake from Sri Lanka, a Senior Software Engineer at Zone 24×7 were also participated.
Apart from the educational agenda, there was a great entertaining dancing act performed by the undergraduates of NSBM Green University.
