The students of UCD/UGC MIS 18.2 of Faculty of Computing NSBM, visited Pearson Lanka and Toyota Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, on 23rd October 2019. The objective of this visit was to give the students an understanding of the development of Information Systems and how they are utilized in real business operations. While achieving these objectives students were also exposed to a grooming session organized by Pearson Lanka for career preparation and about cutting edge technologies adopted by Toyota Lanka with its ERP. The visit was organized as a part of the Foundation of Information Systems module under the guidance of module leader Prof. Chaminda Rathnayake. Ms. Pavithra Subashini and Ms. Sulari Fernando who themselves are Lectures of the Faculty having vast experience in the Software Industry coordinated the visit.Â
