The Internship and Skill Development Unit of the Department of Accounting and Finance organized its very first event, a career readiness programme on 19 March 2021 at the university premises. The programme was conducted by well experienced professionals from Virtusa, Sri Lanka for 3rd year Accounting and Finance undergraduates who are expecting to step into the corporate world soon. The programme flowed touching the aspects of building a brand through the CV, nailing a job interview, and acquiring the right set of skills. The event was graced by the Dean of the Faculty of Business, Ms. Thilini De Silva, Head of the Department of Accounting and Finance, Ms. Maithri Vidana Kariyakaranage, and the Internship Coordinator for the Faculty of Business, Ms. Samadhi Weerarathne.
