The first round of Industry Preparation Training (IPT) 2019 of School of Computing (SOC) started today at NSBM Green University and this program will continue till 30th of August 2019 giving students a smooth and easy transition to industrial life after the studies at the NSBM when they enter for their third year part time study mode.
Dr. Ajith Colonne, a leading professional in the industry did his presentation on success of undergraduate life. During the first half of today’s session, the students were addressed by Prof. Chaminda Rathnayake, Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Prof. Baratha Dodankotuwa, Head of Academic Development and Quality Assurance by sharing thier experiences with the young vibrant undergraduates of School of Computing.
Apart from the academics of the university, a team of experienced IT professionals, from Virtusa (Pvt) Ltdprovided an overview of the current job market to the undergraduates.
This training Programme is coordinated by Ms. Pavithra Subhashini, Senior Lecturer of School of computing who handles industry relations activities of the SOC.
