Envision 19 – Marketing Day : Marketing Forum and Marketing Exhibition


NSBM Marketing Circle of School of Business has proudly concluded their inception of the student circle of passionate marketers on 9th July 2019 with ENVISION’ 19 – Marketing day consisted with a Marketing forum and ENVISION’ 19- Marketing Exhibition Awarding Ceremony.

ENVISION’19 was proposed as an annual flag ship event of the NSBM marketing circle event calendar. ENVISION’19- Marketing Forum was graced with the presence of well renowned 5 industry personalities namely Mr. Ravi Jayewardane- CEO- Marketing and Sales, Maliban Biscuits, Dr. Lasantha Malavige Chairman- Lassana Flora, Mr. Amitha Amarasinghe- Chief Operating Officer- Neo@Ogilvy Sri Lanka, Ms. Chandi Aluvihare- Chief Editor, Biz- Economist, Mr. Wellington Perera- Director / Chief Operating Officer at Enhanzer (Pvt) Ltd. and forum was moderated by Mr. Yogendaraprasath Sathiyaseelan- Former President- Toast Masters Pinnacle Club in Sri Lanka & Chief Financial Officer- Supreme Global Holdings. ENVISOIN’19 was themed on Marketing for Marketers in Year 2030: Envisioning Decade Ahead where major trend on the marketing field such as consumer preference shifting, Digital marketing paradigm, evolvement of AI and what is the role of women in year 2030 in field of marketing and etc. The glamour of the event was enhanced with the presence of Dr. E.A. Weerasinghe, Vice-Chancellor, NSBM Green University and other academic staff members.

There were more than 500 undergraduates in the audience who were keen on collecting insights of Year 2030 marketing and they were entertained with magic performance of Mr. Budshana Kalapuge and dancing and singing talents of NSBM dancing and music Club students. Moreover, hype of the event was augmented with the awarding ceremony of the ENVISION’19- Marketing Exhibition held on 3rd July 2019. The exhibition was a single platform where 9 corporate giants representing telecommunication, tourism and leisure, computer and devices, consumer products and conferences and convention industry were taken through intervention of 9 student groups. These 9 student groups were carefully filtered through an intra-batch case study competition conducted between more than 65 student groups including participation of 600 students of UGC & UCD 17.2 & 18.1 batches. At the awarding ceremony, The Best Exhibitor award and Overall Championship award was awarded with Rs. 10,000.00 and Rs. 15,000.00 cash prizes respectively along with valuable certificates to appreciate emerging marketers of NSBM.

This total event was empowered through support of corporate sponsors namely Sri Lanka Telecom in capacity of official TV channel, Ferrero Lanka as Gold sponsor, Maliban Biscuits as official refreshment provider and Lassana Flora as official flower arrangement provider and NSBM Media club and Global Image as Official photography and Videography coverage.
